Underwriting - Fund Raising - Revenue Generation:
Primarily the community shall support the Project. Revenue for anticipated
expenses related to equipment and facilities acquisition, operation,
maintenance, improvement and development would be necessary. Participation
and contributions shall also be sought from the various governmental
organizations, which the Project will serve as well as from those outside the
area. Grants shall be applied for. Requests for contributions shall be made in
the form of:
• mailers, sign postings, and bulletin boards
• website marketing,
• printed media advertisements
• person toperson presentations, and
• fund raisers and associated events.
Applications for gifts and grants shall be presented to various philanthropic
organizations. Networking with local civic groups in an effort to market the Project
will be an ongoing effort. Support and endorsements shall be sought from
government leaders encouraging them to promote the Project and encourage
contributions and donations..
The Project shall exist on the support of the community, including membership
dues, successful application for grants and loans, along with gifts, donations
and honorariums and income from as of yet unidentified revenue sources.
Expenditure of funds shall be regulated by an annual budget established by the
Board. Finances and financial records shall be audited at least annually and
shall be subject to public inspection.
Budgeting:
The cost to operate the Project during the first year is estimated to be $15,000.
These costs consider rent, utilities, insurance, maintenance and repairs. It does
not include the acquisition and buildup of facilities nor does it include the
acquisition and installation of equipment.
